DIY Consulting
YAY! You’re a flower lover and you’ve chosen to DIY your wedding flowers. Kudos. Now you COULD sit down and spend hours researching flower varieties and figuring out how many stems to order and making spreadsheets and doing calculations, but you got a fiance to celebrate with and about 834 other things on your planning to-do list!
Why not leave the spreadsheets to us so you can focus on the fun part - getting to play with flowers! We’ll help translate your floral design vision into concrete shopping lists, create item-specific floral recipes, write up an order list, and be here to answer any questions you have.
*NOTE: Please reach out for this service at least 3 months prior to your wedding date. We prefer to hear from you between 6 months and 1 year prior to your wedding date!*
DIY Consulting Options:
Consulting: $150 Flat Fee - Includes consultation via phone or email, item-specific floral recipes, floral varieties and quantities to order, tips on tools and other materials needed, and availability for questions and troubleshooting via phone or email. Option to order your flowers through our supplier(s).
Consulting + Flower Processing: $250 Flat Fee - Includes everything listed above under “Consulting", with the added service of having your bulk flowers (if you ordered through our supplier) processed and prepped for you. Most flowers come from the wholesaler in boxes, without a water source, and need trimming and stripping of leaves before they can be utilized in any designs. We can take care of that for you and have your flowers in buckets, gettin’ hydrated and ready for you to make them into beautiful arrangements.
How It Works
GET IN TOUCH: You reach out via email, phone, or our Wedding Inquiry Form. When you express your interest in DIY Consulting, we’ll get in touch to find out more about your wedding vision and send over our contract. We’ll also send you a link to pay for DIY consulting, so that we can move forward with all the planning fun!
INITIAL CONSULTATION: A consultation via phone or email will help us get to know you and understand your floral design needs. We'll listen to your ideas and look at your style inspiration photos.
DESIGN PLAN: Delaney will create a proposed design recipe plan for you, complete with stem counts and recipes for each individual floral item, an overall order list, and a list of non-floral materials you may need.
ORDERING: You have the option to source your flowers wherever you want, or have Briarwood Flowers order through our wholesaler.
(If applicable) PROCESSING: If you order through our supplier(s), more than likely your flowers will arrive in a box, needing to be taken out, trimmed, stripped of lower leaves, and plopped in water for 24 hours to hydrate. You can pick your flowers up right away at our home studio in Spring Green (or send a trusty friend or family member). For an additional fee, we can process your flowers for you, so they’re in buckets, gettin’ hydrated, awaiting your arrival.
(If applicable) PICK-UP: If you ordered through us, you'll drive out to the "farm" in Spring Green, WI or send over a trusty friend to pick up your gorgeous blooms. We recommend you arrange your flowers on Friday for a Saturday wedding, although it depends on the items you're making.
